What makes a good gothic novel? Where did our love of all things gothic come from?

Jess Kidd, Costa Award-winner and author of the gripping Victorian detective novel Things in Jars featuring Bridie Devine, the finest female detective of her age… will join Francine Toon to talk about her stunning gothic thriller novel Pine, the perfect novel for our haunted times.

Jess and Francine will be in conversation with bestselling author Sarah Ward aka Rhiannon Ward whose debut gothic fiction novel set between the late 19th and early 20th century The Quickening will be published in August.
