The 2017 Newark Book Festival programme is now available for download, we hope you are as excited to read it as we were to make it.

You can book tickets for events through our Festival Box Office at the Palace Theatre Newark. Please select the date of your event using the calendar and you will find that day’s listings.

Tickets for events are available to purchase online, in person or over the phone (01636 655755) 7 days a week 10-5pm.  Just select the date and you will find our events under the Newark Book Festival logo!

We look forward to welcoming a range of authors, artists and guests to the festival this July. With events at venues across the town, there is something for all book lovers and new readers too.

Authors and events include: International best-seller Matt Haig, Jockey and writer duo Declan Murphy and Ami Rao, Author of The Watchmaker of Filigree Street Natasha Pulley, Crime by the Sea authors Nick Quantrill, Luca Veste, Harry Brett, David Mark and Children’s writer and illustrator duo Lucy Rowland and Mark Chambers to name a few.

Keep an eye out too for local talks, our Literature Quarter, The Festival’s Famous Adventures, books, street theatre, stories, Sherlock and much more!
