Meet Emily Brand as she takes us through the world of Byron.
Her new book The Fall of the House of Byron follows the fates of Lord Byron’s ancestors over three generations in a drama that begins in rural Nottinghamshire and plays out in the gentlemans’ clubs of Georgian London, amid tempests on far-flung seas, and in the glamour of pre-revolutionary France.
Emily is an independent writer, historian and genealogist with a special interest in English social history c.1660-1837. Originally from North Nottingham, she now lives in London.
