We welcome back Hull author Nick Quantrill who will be chairing today’s event. Nick’s Private Investigator novels featuring Joe Geraghty and are published by Fahrenheit Press. Nick is also the co-founder of the Hull Noir crime writing festival. He will be joined by a trio of authors all of whose novels feature music at the heart of them. Lucy Nichol’s new novel Parklife delves into the dark pull of addiction during a bright 1990s summer in Hull, with friendship, family and music playing key roles in this very human tale. David F. Ross’s There’s only one Danny Garvey, is written with his trademark humour, and is a warm and poignant story of irrational hopes and fevered dreams, of unstoppable passion and unflinching commitment in the face of defeat. Michelle Davies’s new crime novel The Death of Me, follows music journalist Natalie Glass, who stumbles across a US gossip website that suggests a former rockstar’s death wasn’t quite what it seemed.
