We are delighted to welcome back Felicity Whittle for another Newark Literary Walk.
Local authors and libraries, poets, diarists and novelists… Newark has an abundant literary heritage waiting to be explored on this 75-minute walk around the town centre.
There are theatrical connections, both amateur and professional; diaries about the English Civil War and a dash of 19th century politics; plus, a pantomime horse, a poetic bad boy and a girl who lives with ghosts.
Starting at the Palace Theatre and finishing near the Market Place, tourist guide, Felicity of Gold Star Guides, will provide an engaging and informative stroll through some of Newark’s literary history. Booklist provided at the end of the walk.
£8 / £6 Festival Friends
Meet at the Palace Theatre at 10.45am
Please book early to avoid disappointment. There is limited capacity for this event.
