Literature Village – Newark Market Place

Visit our Literature Village throughout the Festival in Newark Market Place. Starting small our village will grow over the four days, there will be something new every day from children’s authors, to booksellers, cake makers, museums, the fabulous Festival Stall, Festival teddies, bags, pens, information… and more.

Electro-acoustic percussive Spanish Guitar playing original arrangements in a wide variety of styles. Adam is a master of the loop pedal, creating layer upon layer of sound to create an atmosphere perfect for any special occasion.

Intarsia Performance
Intarsia is a duo of performers from diverse backgrounds. Jo May and Sarah Matthews have worked together since 2018, combining voice, violin, viola, octave fiddle, tenor guitar, balafon and a wide range of other percussion instruments. The sounds of these wooden instruments blend to create intricate delivery of original and traditional material inspired by English songs, European dance tunes, West African rhythms and more.
