The Cutting Edge with Leslie Cavendish
3pm – 4pm // Newark Town Hall
£7 / £4 FESTIVAL FRIENDS
Leslie Cavendish left school at 15 years old, without any artistic qualifications, and became a hairdresser, working for the iconic ‘60s hair stylist Vidal Sassoon. He styled the barnets of many famous clients, but none more famous than The Beatles.
Leslie became part of the Fab Four’s inner circle, attending Beatles recording sessions and joining the band on the Magical Mystery Tour. Leslie was also in the building at 3 Saville Row for that famous roof-top concert. Expect stories galore and loads of fascinating insider secrets.
Interviewed by Nick Quantrill.
