Newark Book Festival: Education & Outreach

We are pleased to return to our live Schools’ Programme that sees a range of authors visiting Primary, Specialist and Secondary schools across Newark & Sherwood and our neighbouring communities.

Authors visiting this year include: Gareth Baker, Jessica Bowers, Gareth Peters, Harry Heape, Katherine Hetzel, Matt Beighton, Jonathan Emmett and Chris White.

We also welcome back The Young Journalist Academy – a programme established in 2008 designed to encourage young people to engage with news and current affairs by creating their own articles, films, podcasts and photographic projects. This is a fantastic opportunity that offers pupils, schools and community groups the chance to gain national recognition for the ability to create quality broadcast material in partnership with Paradigm Arts and c1 media.

If your school is interested in taking part in either of the above we have a few spaces left so drop us an email at hello@newarkbookfestival.org.uk
