Book & Jigsaw Swap
The Newark Book Festival team and volunteers are back at Newark’s Market Place with stacks of books and jigsaws ready for a brand new home.
The book swaps are simple! Just bring a few of your already-read books and old jigsaws that are ready for a new player, and swap them directly for something new! If you don’t have a book or jigsaw to swap, you can still go home with handfuls of your new favourite reads by making a donation to the festival.
It’s your perfect chance too to pick up a festival programme and book tickets to our upcoming events!

Author Book Signing
The brand-new Waterstones Newark is the official Festival Bookseller, for 2026. Waterstones will be running the Festival Bookshop at the Palace Theatre and pop-up book stalls for author book signings after every event at each venue.
