Broken Instruments and Violins of Hope at Cat Asylum Brewery

Saturday 16th September at 7pm

SOLD OUT

Broken Instruments is a story of survival, made possible through the power of music. Through beautiful original songs and emotive storytelling, follow the recollections of musician, luthier, and Holocaust survivor Ari Vander. Inspired by the book “Violins of Hope”, the show combines history and artistry, offering a message of hope for a better future for us all.

This unique theatre experience will take place in the beautiful Cat Asylum Brewery, a former plough-shed, turned atmospheric micro-pub, and will also feature discussion from members of the Newark International School of Violin Making, about the history of creating these beautiful instruments that mean so much to so many people.

This event is part of the Heritage Open Days Programme for 2023.
